Show a colleague (who doesn't work on your website) your homepage for five seconds. Close it. Ask these three questions and record what they actually said.

How to run it

1. Open your homepage on their screen for five seconds — count them. 2. Close it. 3. Ask the three questions below, verbatim, and write what they say — not what you wish they'd said. Run it with three people.

Scoring the answers

Pass: they name your audience, say something specific (a niche, a number, a mechanism), and know the next step. If Q2 came back "…staffing?" your above-the-fold is generic — that's the first fix in Module 5.
